Thinners often bear the brunt when it comes to automotive refinishing defects. But are Thinners really the main cause of all the problems & defects?

Thinners meant for the automotive refinishing industry, are actually solvents that dissolve, thin and reduce the viscosity of automotive paint, so as to allow a particular paint to achieve a certain viscosity that will allow the paint to achieve optimum atomization. In other words, thinners aid in allowing paints to pass through the nozzle of a spray gun so as to achieve a more even spray across a surface.

Thinners vaporize/evaporate upon application. Automotive defects only arise when the vaporization of the thinner occurs too quickly or slowly. So, please use manufacturer recommended Thinners during application, instead of being your own chemist.
